Counselling And Equine Assisted Psychotherapy  On The Beautiful And Tranquil Island of Corfu

"Do you need help:?" " Do you not feel comfortable?" "Do you need training for your employers?"

Sensory Connection offers help to anyone who struggles with or wants to change a range of life difficulties. It offers skills that can be incorporated and transferred to everyday life.

Amanda is a professionally qualified and Registered BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) Counsellor and EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association) Practitioner. Her therapeutic environment provides a warm and inviting space where you can feel safe and escape the stresses of life.  She uses the relationship between myself and client or client and horse, to build trust to form a therapeutic partnership which helps provide the right atmosphere to experience change, personal growth and development.  Her approach is warm, accepting, honest, non-judgemental, down to earth, and supportive. She helps you find ways to understand yourself better, identify negative and toxic behaviour patterns as well as understand where they come from and why they are there, to develop and grow personally, find acceptance and forgiveness, then be able to transfer these back into your everyday life.

Counselling is not about telling you what to do, it is about helping you to understand what is going on in your body, head and life, about helping you make your own decisions and offering a safe place to experience your emotions and be yourself. It is about understanding what is or has happened and how you survive or survived it and the coping mechanism’s used to facilitate this.

Equine Assisted Therapy harness’ the uniqueness of the horse and its non-verbal communication/language and helps you explore where the horses behaviour fits into your experiences in life. Horses make an amazing therapeutic partner because they have no ego, envy or greed, they have no desire to harm or deceive which makes them incredibly helpful at providing unrecognised or hidden issues and the metaphoric and experiential process helps short cut many conventional therapy processes, and also, due to the way humans learn and develop, the experiential process is shown to have a longer and more permanent effect on us.  The Equine Therapy takes place on the ground and utilises a range of activities and discussion. No knowledge of horses is needed and anyone can participate. The sessions are tailored to each individual need and requirement. Furthermore the sessions can be individual or groups of up to 10 people. For more information do not hesitate to contact us on or +306944904996
